    Joint exhibition. Fall of 2022, Kemi.
    My class designed, created and printed a cohesive exhibition of 3D artworks which were printed. The exhibition’s theme was the idea of “what would it be like, if Finnic folkloric beings existed or returned to modern day?”

  • Joint exhibition. Spring 2022, Tornio.

    My class designed, created and printed a cohesive exhibition of 2D artworks which were printed and framed. The exhibition’s theme were dreams, different realities, and alternative universes. The exhibition was curated by Aine art museum’s staff.

Projects

  • Lovi is a visual novel demo inspired by Finno-Ugric folklore of death and the underworld.

  • Ikiaika (eternal time) and Tanssi (dance) were both created as part of Lumi’s studies in spring of 2023.

    Ikiaika can be viewed here and is a video poem / mixed media work.

    Tanssi can be viewed here and is a frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation.

  • Valo is an illustrated novel written in Finnish and utilizing the Finnic tetrameter (kalevalamitta). It is a story about how a little spirit must find the Sun.

    The work is inspired by Finno-Ugric myths.

    The work can be read here, however, it is written in Finnish and there is no translation at this time.
